National Taiwan University Scholarships 2025 

For the February 2025 start, the National Taiwan University Scholarships are now open. It is possible to get into 100 master’s programs and 50 PhD programs in February 2025.   • TWD 15,000+ (USD 500+) for students enrolled in the College of Science, Engineering, Medicine, Bio-Resources & Agriculture, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Public Health, and Life Science.
  • Tuition waiver of up to TWD 65,000 (USD 2,167) each semester.
  • A monthly Stipend of TWD 8,000 (USD 267) for a Master’s degree student.
  • For PhD Students: TWD 10,000+ (USD 333+) for students enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Law, and Management.

Eligibility Criteria

  • People from all over the world are welcome to study here.
  • You need a bachelor’s degree to get into a master’s program and a master’s degree to get into a PhD school.
  • Please meet the language standards set by the department.
    • TOEFL iBT: 72
    • IELTS: 5.5
    • TOEIC: 785
    • GEPT: High-Intermediate
  • Excellent academic records are required.

Exemption from Submitting Language Proficiency Certificates

For Programs Conducted in English: You can skip the IELTS if you satisfy any ONE of the following requirements:

1) You are from an English-speaking country: If you are from one of these countries, the system will immediately let you skip the English proficiency documents:

2) Previous Degree was obtained from an English-speaking country: We only need a copy of your high school diploma if any of your other degrees, including your high school diploma, were earned in an English-speaking country. There will be no need for any other proof of English language skills.

3) Your previous degree was conducted in English: If any of your previous degrees, even your high school diploma, were taught completely in English, we only need a certificate from your high school or previous university to prove this. There will be no need for any other proof of English language skills.
